Ad sales are quite important for websites but it looks like Twitter has a bleeding scar in that sense. In December the add sales went down by more than 70%, giving the impression that Twitter is fighting an unsuccessful battle with its advertisers.

In order to capitalize on the advantages of the holiday season, brands and businesses spend a lot of money on advertising during the months of November and December. However, recent data from SMI (Standard Media Index via Reuters) indicates that Twitter's advertising spending decreased by 55% in November, while advertising sales decreased by almost 71% in December. This significant decrease follows Elon Musk, CEO,'s significant policy modifications.

Major companies like General Motors, Pfizer Inc., Ford Motor Company, and AMC Networks Inc. stopped advertising on Twitter as soon as Musk took over. Over a thousand advertisers have left the business since then. This caused some significant lose to the company, and Twitter is still trying to recover from it.
