Twitter is planning to introduce ID verification as a new feature. As the name suggests, Elon's team wants to keep improving the platform, and this move would make it easier to determine whether someone on the platform is a real person or just an imposter. A verification system would also assist numerous individuals in avoiding misinformation on the platform, given the growing problem of impersonation on Twitter

To verify their identity, users would be required to upload a selfie and a valid ID. Although this move would have numerous advantages, it also raises concerns regarding the security of data and user privacy once more.  The leaker also said that Elon wants to hire a third party to handle the verification process so that user data are protected.
