Apple and Epic Games have been in odds with each other for a long time and we have a winner now.  In the ongoing battle between Apple and Epic Games over antitrust, a ruling has been handed down by an appeals court. The majority of Epic's claims that Apple violated federal competition law by prohibiting alternative app stores on its devices were rejected by the US Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, according to Bloomberg.

After a long lasting beef between two giants the winner has been decided


The panel stated in its decision, "There is a lively and important debate about the role played in our economy and democracy by online transaction platforms with market power." Our occupation as a government court of requests, nonetheless, isn't to determine that discussion — nor might we at any point even endeavor to do as such. We instead faithfully applied existing precedent to the facts in this decision." 

"Apple's resounding victory in this case is reaffirmed by today's decision, with nine of ten claims decided in Apple's favor. For the second time in two years, a government court has decided that Apple keeps antitrust regulations at the state and bureaucratic levels," Apple told Engadget in a proclamation. "
