Microsoft launches AI-powered Teams Premium with ChatGPT integration
ChatGPT, owned by OpenAI, will assist users of Teams in creating meeting templates, recommend tasks, and generate automatic meeting notes.
Microsoft introduced a premium version of Teams that utilizes ChatGPT to enhance meetings. The monthly fee will be $7 starting in June, but will go up to $10 the following month.
The use of intelligent features to make meetings "more intelligent, personalized, and protected" is the primary feature of the premium service. Particularly, it provides AI-generated tasks such as automatically generated meeting notes, suggested tasks, and personalized highlights, as well as live translated captions.
Watermarking, limiting the recording capability, personalized timeline markers, speaker timeline markers, branded meetings, and more are additional features.
The premium version of Teams powered by ChatGPT is now available after a long time
Microsoft's integration of ChatGPT into Teams Premium is the result of their investment in OpenAI, the chatbot's creator. This began with a $1 billion investment in 2019 and has since progressed to a multiyear, multibillion dollar investment.
In the future, Microsoft plans to incorporate this technology into all of their products, including Bing, Office apps, and other services. They have also announced plans to soon introduce ChatGPT to their Azure OpenAI Service.
ChatGPT is famous for its impressive capacity to generate outputs based on user inputs, such as generating prose and essays. Recently, the chatbot received an upgrade that enhanced its accuracy and mathematical capabilities.
