Windows 11 was released last year with fascinating features. Android application support is one of the most crucial and exciting features of the operating system. Known as "Windows Subsystem for Android," feature is currently running on Android 12 and is being tested only by Windows Insider users. Now, this subsystem will soon gain support for Android 13, that is latest Android version. 

Android 13 is coming to Windows with new features

As mentioned above, Windows 11 supports Android 12 in its subsystem for the time being, however, Microsoft has shared exciting news about the upcoming support for the Windows 11. According to details, Microsoft will soon release Android 13 update on the Windows subsystem for Android feature. 

This new update will also serve new features in addition to new Android version. Sharing WSA's roadmap on GitHub, Microsoft also mentioned about new Android 13 features for the Windows subsystem.

Shortcuts, picture-in-picture support, local network access, file transfer between Windows and Android and are listed as the new features that Android will support within Windows subsystem. 

People who have access to the Microsoft Store are able to download and install the latest version of Windows Subsystem for Android, which has not yet been made available worldwide. The aforementioned features, including Android 13, are not available for the time being. However, Microsoft is expected to launch new Android 13 update for the Windows 11 this year.
