Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has made its entry into the tablet market with the launch of its inaugural tablet. While the OnePlus Pad has already been available for some time, a slightly modified version with a different name and software revamp called the Oppo Pad 2 is now on the horizon. Essentially a rebadged OnePlus Pad featuring Oppo branding, the Oppo Pad 2 has already been unveiled in China and seems to be preparing for a global release as indicated by its TDRA certification.

Certification sites have been abuzz with sightings of the Oppo Pad 2, the upcoming tablet from Chinese tech company Oppo. Yesterday, the device appeared on the IMDA certification site, and today it has received certification from the UAE's TDRA authority.

Although the listing provides limited details, only disclosing the model number as OPD2202, it indicates that a launch could be imminent. Despite the speculation, Oppo has not yet issued an official confirmation regarding the Oppo Pad 2.

What should we expect from Oppo Pad 2?

As previously mentioned, the Oppo Pad 2 is essentially a rebranded version of the OnePlus Pad, which recently entered the global market at a price point of approximately $485. The Oppo Pad is expected to have a similar pricing strategy. Equipped with a robust MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, the Oppo Pad 2 boasts an immersive 11.61-inch IPS LCD display featuring a 7:5 aspect ratio, Dolby Vision support, a 2800 x 2000 pixel resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and 10-bit colors.

The tablet offers a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera for capturing photos and selfies. It is equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Running on ColorOS for Pad 13, based on Android 13, the device is powered by a sizable 9,510mAh battery with support for 67W SuperVOOC charging.
