Multiple new Assassin's Creed games currently in the works
Ubisoft is reportedly planning to release at least nine more Assassin's Creed games in the coming years, with six games currently in development, according to a recent report from Insider Gaming.
Assassin's Creed is a highly popular action-adventure video game franchise, known for its immersive historical settings and gameplay mechanics. Additionally, Assassin's Creed has a large fanbase and has received critical acclaim for its storytelling, world-building, and character development.
Insider Gaming has reported that the publisher is planning to release at least nine additional Assassin's Creed games in the near future, with six of them already in development.
Rumors reveal multiple new potential Assassin's Creed projects
Ubisoft, the French game publishing company, has released twelve Assassin’s Creed games over the past 16 years since the first game was launched in 2007. According to a recent report from Insider Gaming, Ubisoft is planning to release at least nine more games in the coming years, with six currently in development.
The first upcoming game is Assassin’s Creed Mirage, expected to be released in August 2023, which will take the series back to its roots. This will be followed by an Assassin’s Creed VR game in the same year.
Codename Red, set in Japan and focusing on stealth, is expected to be released in 2024, followed by the multiplayer title Assassin’s Creed ‘Invictus’ in 2025, and Codename Hexe in 2026. Ubisoft also has three more Assassin’s Creed games in the planning stages.
Project Nebula will take place in India, the Aztec Empire, and the Mediterranean, while Project Raid will be a PvE-based free-to-play game with 4-player co-op mode. Project Echoes is another multiplayer title in the franchise.
Ubisoft plans to release a new game in the franchise every year, with each major entry significantly different from the last to keep things fresh.
