After a long-awaited seven years since the original Oxenfree, which featured a unique blend of radio tuning and time looping in a coming-of-age story, fans were finally treated to a glimpse of the sequel, Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals, during Nintendo Indie World showcase. The highly anticipated release date of the game was revealed, marking an exciting milestone for fans of the popular indie game series.
Oxenfree2 2: Lost Signals will hit shelves on July 12th
The sequel Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, continuing the supernatural thriller storyline of the original Oxenfree game, is set to release on July 12 across multiple platforms including Netflix, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam.
“Set five years after the events of the first game, which continues to be celebrated for its compelling storytelling, relatable characters and captivating art style, Oxenfree II: Lost Signals will take players on a gripping narrative-driven adventure featuring an all-new cast of characters and original story,” Netflix stated in a press release.
In Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, players will join Riley Poverly, an environmental researcher, as she returns to her hometown of Camena to investigate mysterious radio frequency signals that are causing disruptions in electronic devices.
