At its recent autumn product launch event, Huawei introduced a plethora of new devices, among which the Eyewear 2 smart glasses took center stage. This unveiling in China was closely preceded by a showcase in Barcelona just a week earlier.

The Huawei Eyewear 2 smart glasses come with an expanded range of styles. The newly introduced Titanium Sky and Gold Wire styles join the already available frameless, aviator, and square semi-frame styles. The Titanium Sky version stands out with its lightweight β-titanium frame, weighing a mere 4.7g and flaunting a streamlined floating design. In contrast, the Gold Wire style is characterized by its elegant 18K gold plating and a chic, slim border.

Huawei has taken user comfort into account, reducing the width of the speaker temples by 20% and the tail end's width by 28%, making them 9.7mm and 8.3mm respectively. In terms of audio, the Eyewear 2 sets a new industry standard with its forward-facing dual diaphragm immersive unit. This unit enhances speaker amplitude by 40% and media playback volume by 30%, ensuring an enriched auditory experience. Moreover, users can expect clear voice calls thanks to the triple noise cancellation feature.

The touch control area on the temples has also been improved, now extending to 23mm, marking a 50% increase from the former model. This enhancement serves to minimize unintentional touches and promises smooth operation. Furthermore, the Eyewear 2 offers superior compatibility, allowing for smooth audio switching between HarmonyOS-powered smartphones and tablets. These glasses are also compatible with Android, iOS, and Windows systems, with added support for Neck Health 2.0.

Battery life has seen marked improvements as well. The Eyewear 2 offers up to 11 hours of continuous listening, an 83% improvement over its predecessor, and up to 9 hours of talk

time, which is double its predecessor's capacity. Charging is efficient, with a full charge achievable in 50 minutes, while a brisk 10-minute charge offers 3 hours of playback.

Regarding its availability, the pre-order for the Eyewear 2 begins on September 25th, with the official sale set to commence on September 30th. The pricing details are as follows: 2299 yuan ($314) for the Titanium Sky Optical Glasses, 1899 yuan ($260) for the Gold Wire Optical Glasses, and 1699 yuan ($232) for the other styles.
