SOUTH KOREA (TechtUSA) - Samsung has faced complaints from customers in countries where the Exynos versions of its phones are launched, who claim to receive inferior performance despite paying the same price as customers in other countries. Consequently, Samsung has decided to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 exclusively in all Galaxy S23 units worldwide.

Earlier, there were reports that Samsung was collaborating with Google to develop a more advanced chip that would be released in the future. Following this, a new leak has now revealed the specifications of the upcoming Exynos 2300 chip.

As reported by ITHome, a tipster revealed that the Exynos 2300 SoC, code named "quadra", will have a 1+4+4 core configuration with one Cortex-X3 super core clocked at a max speed of 3.09GHz frequency, along with 4 efficiency cores and 4 performance cores.

The performance cores will consist of 2.65GHz Cortex-A715 while the Cortex-A510 cores will clock in at 2.1GHz. The chipset will also feature the custom design AMD RDNA 2 architecture and a Samsung Xclipse 930 GPU.

It is unclear if Samsung will launch the Exynos 2300 or the Exynos 2400, and there were also rumors about the Exynos 2500 with a new NPU.
