Qualcomm recently introduced its next-gen flagship mobile processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Among the smartphone brands eager to integrate this new technology, Nubia has stepped forward, confirming that its upcoming smartphones will harness the power of this chipset.

Both Nubia and Red Magic have revealed their intentions to release smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Intriguingly, a Nubia device, identified by the model number NX721J, appeared in the Geekbench database, confirming that it houses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Speculation suggests that this device might be introduced as the Nubia Z60 Ultra in the Chinese market. Anticipation builds as experts predict its debut might be before this year ends. This particular listing also detailed the phone's impressive specs, including 12 GB of RAM and the latest Android 14 OS.

In addition to the Z60 Ultra, there's chatter about the Nubia Z60 Fold. It's slated to be Nubia's premier foldable phone and is also rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Enthusiasts can expect its launch sometime in the early months of 2024.

Nubia isn't the only brand making waves with this chipset. The gaming-centric Red Magic 9 and Red Magic 9 Pro smartphones are believed to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. A device tagged as NX769J, spotted on Geekbench in August, might be one of the phones in the Red Magic 9 lineup. Like its Nubia counterpart, this device was reported to come with 12 GB of RAM and Android 14.

While these revelations are exciting, Nubia hasn't officially disclosed the names for these forthcoming devices. As always, it's wise to await more comprehensive reports before drawing conclusions.
