Google's recent unveiling of the Pixel 8 Pro's 3D renders on its Pixel Simulator website has given tech enthusiasts a comprehensive look at the smartphone's design and several of its components. These renders provide clarity on the device's SIM card tray, body temperature sensor, and available color variants, further stoking the anticipation for its global release on October 4.

Previously, leaks had given a glimpse of the Pixel 8 Pro, but the official 3D renders now confirm its design. It will be available in three distinct colors, namely Licorice, Porcelain, and Sky. The smartphone showcases a sleek design with a flat display featuring a centrally positioned punch-hole. Its rear sports a pronounced camera bar, housing a triple camera system, LED flash, microphone, and a body temperature sensor.

Diving deeper into its specifications, the triple camera system is set to feature a primary snapper, complemented by an ultra-wide lens and a telephoto camera with 5x zoom capabilities. When it comes to functionality and design, the bottom edge of the Pixel 8 Pro houses a speaker, microphone, and a USB-C port, while its top edge incorporates an additional microphone and speaker. Notably, the left edge will accommodate the NFC connectivity and a SIM card slot.

Delving into its internals, reports suggest the Pixel 8 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch OLED LTPO panel with a Quad HD+ resolution, capable of a 120Hz refresh rate. Running on Android 14, its power will be derived from a 4,950mAh battery, supported by both 27W wired and 23W wireless charging capabilities. Under the hood, the Tensor G3-powered device will boast 12 GB of RAM and storage options of up to 512 GB.

For photo enthusiasts, the Pixel 8 Pro offers an 11-megapixel front-facing camera. Its rear setup will comprise a 50-megapixel Samsung GN2 primary camera equipped with OIS, alongside a 64-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera. Security won't be compromised, with the integration of an under-display fingerprint scanner. Price-wise, the base model of the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to retail at €1,235.72 in Europe, inclusive of VAT.
