Honor is set to announce the Honor X50 GT smartphone at an event in China on January 4th at 7:30 pm. Ahead of the launch, the company has released two posters that reveal the design and color options of the device. The Honor X50 GT is expected to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, the Snapdragon 888-powered Honor X40 GT, which was introduced in October 2022 in China.
The Honor X50 GT will feature a curved-edge OLED display, as depicted in the promotional images. The phone will be available in black and white color variants, with the black version sporting a simple back design, while the white variant boasts a distinctive golden strip highlighting its 108-megapixel primary camera. Interestingly, the phone is equipped with a dual-camera setup on the rear. However, Honor has not disclosed any specific details regarding the X50 GT's specifications.

It is speculated that the Honor X50 GT may bear similarities to the upcoming Honor X50 Pro. The X50 Pro is rumored to target the offline market, while the X50 GT is likely to appeal to the online audience.

It may be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, accompanied by up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. The device is also rumored to include a 5,800mAh battery with 35W fast charging support and to run on Magic OS 7.2-based Android 14. Additionally, it could feature an in-screen fingerprint sensor for security, and its price might be around 2,000 Yuan (~$280).
