Samsung has surpassed Xiaomi: Who is leading the market?
Samsung has surpassed Xiaomi

There is serious competition among technology companies. Brands are in a race to surpass each other. A serious competition continues between xiaomi and samsung, one of the leading names in the industry.  In the fourth quarter of 2022, Samsung dominated the smartphone market in India with 20% of the market, followed by Xiaomi with 18%. This, according to analysts, is primarily attributable to the country's market "premiumization."

In India, the sub-$120 category sold 41% of all smartphones in 2012, but that number has since dropped to 26%. The premium market, on the other hand, sees a twofold increase of 11% in sales above $360. Because Xiaomi focuses on budget-friendly devices while Samsung is betting on its mid-range to high-end models, this is the primary reason why Samsung prevailed over Xiaomi. For instance, in 2022, the Korean tech giant offered 16 high-end smartphones, whereas Xiaomi only had 6. The majority of Xiaomi's inexpensive smartphones were out of stock, so their budget-friendly portfolio was 7 and 39, respectively. Companies are trying to outdo each other, especially with their foldable devices.
