The Huawei Mate X3 Pro 5G is set for unveiling in the near future
The Huawei Mate X3 Pro 5G, developed by the Chinese tech giant Huawei, might be introduced to the market in the near future.
Huawei is scheduled to host its 2023 Huawei Developers Conference (HDC) on August 4, where the Harmony OS 4.0 is expected to be launched. Rumors are circulating that new devices from the Mate series might also be introduced during this event. A leak from a Chinese source has revealed the potential names of these forthcoming devices.
From the leaked information, it seems Huawei is gearing up to introduce three new devices: the Huawei Mate 60 4G, the Mate 60 5G, and the Mate X3 Pro 5G. While there has been some leaked information regarding the Mate 60 models, no details about the Mate X3 Pro have been disclosed yet.
At present, it's known that the Huawei Mate X3 Pro 5G will feature 5G connectivity. It's worth noting that the Mate foldable phone announced earlier this year was a 4G device powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Whether the Mate X3 Pro will be equipped with the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is still unknown.

The name "Mate X3 Pro" indicates that it's an upgrade of the Mate X3. It's worth recalling that the Mate X3 is a slim, lightweight foldable phone, weighing just 239 grams. This makes it thinner and lighter than the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max, which makes the Mate X3 Pro a highly anticipated foldable phone.
It's expected that the Mate X3 Pro will be in competition with recently launched foldable phones, including the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Honor Magic V2, and the Vivo X Fold 2. It's also expected to rival upcoming foldable phones such as the Oppo Find N3 and the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3, both of which are set to launch in August this year.
