Vivo Y200 5G is being launched

The much-anticipated launch of the Vivo Y200 5G in India is now confirmed for October 23rd. Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan endorses this latest offering, which succeeds the Vivo Y100 5G introduced in India earlier this year. Recent promotional materials from Vivo have given insights into the phone's design and color variants.

The design of the Vivo Y200 5G appears reminiscent of the Vivo Y29 series. It's expected to be available in two vibrant colors: Desert Gold and Jungle Green. Industry insiders suggest the device may be priced below Rs 24,000 (approximately $288) for the Indian market.

In terms of specifications, there are speculations that the Vivo Y200 5G will boast a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It's rumored to feature a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and a rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary camera with OIS and a secondary 2-megapixel bokeh lens. Unique to this model, the smartphone might showcase a ring-LED smart Aura flash.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y200 5G is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip, possibly paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage. The software side of things might see the FunTouch OS 13 based on Android 13, complemented by up to 8 GB of virtual RAM. The phone is also rumored to feature an in-screen fingerprint scanner for enhanced security. The battery specifications sound promising too, with a 4,800mAh capacity and 44W fast charging support. Moreover, despite these robust features, the device is speculated to maintain a slim profile, measuring 7.96mm in thickness and weighing approximately 190 grams. As the launch approaches, it's expected that Vivo will unveil more about the Y200 5G.
