Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, is gearing up to expand its Note 13 series with the anticipated launch of the Redmi Note 13R Pro in China. Interestingly, this device is rumored to make its way to the Indian market under the name Poco X6 Neo. This information was recently unveiled by a reliable Xiaomi tipster, Kacper Skrzypek, who shared a screenshot on Twitter displaying the Poco X6 Neo moniker. This marks the first instance of Poco's lineup featuring the Neo branding.
The screenshot provides insight into the Poco X6 Neo’s model number, “2312FRAFDI”, indicating its Indian variant. This model number closely aligns with “2311FRAFDC” of the Redmi Note 13R Pro, suggesting a potential rebranding strategy. Furthermore, the codename ‘gold’ associated with the Poco X6 Neo mirrors that of the Redmi Note 13 5G, hinting at similar specifications between these devices. Notably, Kacper also mentioned that the Poco X6 Neo will feature a 64MP primary camera, which is a significant highlight.
Xiaomi's plans have been revealed
While the official launch date for the Poco X6 Neo remains unconfirmed, more details are expected to emerge soon. In related news, there are rumors that the Redmi Note 13 Pro from China will be introduced globally as the Poco X6 5G. This speculation is backed by recent certifications, including IMDA and BIS, indicating an imminent launch of the Poco X6 series.
