2022 "boss" recap: The 'worst' performing tech bosses identified

2022 has not been a best year for technology companies. The CEOs of many famous companies came to the fore with their unsuccessful attempts this year. List includes names such as Mark Zuckerberg Elon Musk  Sam Bankman-Fried and others.

Mark Zuckerberg

According to the Guardian's list of "the lousiest tech bosses of 2022", Facebook boss Zuckerberg, who has been called a "genius" said in late 2021 Facebook wasn't dystopian enough for him. The score of Elon Musk, who owns SpaceX and Tesla and recently bought Twitter, was 7 out of 10. It was noted that Musk first attempted to buy Twitter, and then tried to give up on it.

Jeff Bezos

Amazon also announced the layoffs. The New York Times wrote that 10,000 people will be laid off. The company's founder, Jeff Bezos, which was rated 4 out of 10, told everyone that he would donate most of his then-$124 billion net worth in his lifetime.

On the other hand, Bezos' employees recently told Insider that the company's voice assistant, Alexa, is "a tremendous failure of imagination."

Parag Agrawal

For Parag Agrawal, who was once the CEO of Twitter, things went well until Elon Musk bought the company. Although the two initially had an intimate relationship, that relationship quickly deteriorated when they disagreed over Musk's purchase of the platform.

Sam Bankman-Fried

Cryptocurrency exchange FTX was at the top of the world a few months ago. SBF ran commercials and advertised FTX at the Miami Heat arena. However, SBF's dream was not held for a long time.

A few weeks later, Bankman-Fried was arrested in the Bahamas and charged by the prosecutor on the case as "one of the biggest financial frauds in American history." Bankman-Fried's dreadful year score was 10 out of 10.

Elizabeth Holmes

2022 was the year the long Theranos disaster concluded. It all started in 2003 when Elizabeth Holmes founded the company. Like many other young students, she was chasing a dream.

However, nearly 20 years after founding the company, Holmes began this year with a conviction for defrauding investors over his company's supposedly revolutionary blood testing system. Holmes was sentenced to 11 years in prison.
