The company is currently adding additional filters to the People You May Know feature, limiting the visibility of friends' lists, and introducing new tools to spread inappropriate images. While the People You May Know feature may be a way for long-lost friends to be found again, teens will not be shown a "suspicious" account—an account that has been reported by a young person recently. As tests continue, the option to message teens on Instagram will also no longer be available to these suspicious adults.
