A lot has changed since Elon Musk bought Twitter. Musk, one of the biggest defenders of freedom of expression, is now giving back his accounts to Donald Trump

Before, in a proclamation, Meta said Trump would have the option to get to his Facebook and Instagram accounts before very long, and now this happened for real. This choice from Meta comes only months after Elon Musk reestablished the previous president's Twitter account. Trump has so far declined to restart his Twitter propensity - he's been a Reality Social client since the year before.

According to the social media giant, the ban will be lifted "in the coming weeks." Meta's president of global affairs, Nick Clegg, said in a statement that the public "should be able to hear what their politicians are saying." After the riots at the Capitol in 2021, the US president at the time was banned from both Facebook and Instagram for life. Mr. Clegg stated that Meta had acted in response to Mr. Trump's "praise for people engaged in violence at the Capitol."

Another explanation he's back could be Meta's treatment of Trump's underlying suspension, which it immediately reached out from a 24-hour boycott to an "endless" suspension.
