Now regarding the situation some new repors arrived. The $1.7 trillion spending bill that lawmakers unveiled early Tuesday morning could allow the No TikTok on Government Devices Act, which received approval from the Senate last week, to become law.

The 4,155-page bill includes provisions that would prohibit the use of TikTok on government-owned phones and other devices, as well as additional funding for Ukraine and $40 billion for natural disaster recovery efforts across the US.

The spending bill does not outright ban all government use of TikTok, despite Republican lawmakers' calls for a nationwide ban. The legislation would direct the General Services Administration and the Office of Management and Budget to establish guidelines for executive agency staff to follow when removing TikTok from government-owned devices by the middle of February if it were to be enacted into law.
