According to social media consultant Matt Navarra, TikTok is currently developing a new feature that will enable users to generate AI-based profile pictures in various artistic styles. Navarra shared a video and images of the tool, which will be incorporated within the TikTok platform.

Matt Navarra recently provided a sneak peek of TikTok's upcoming AI-generated avatar feature by sharing images and videos on Twitter.

As seen in Navarra's tweet, the avatars produced by TikTok's new tool resemble those created by Prisma Labs' Lensa app.It appears that TikTok's avatar generator will offer various artistic styles for users to choose from, and the generated avatars will be available for use as profile pictures. The exact release date of the feature is currently unknown.

How will TikTok's AI avatar feature work?

To create up to 30 avatars, TikTok's new feature will prompt users to upload three to 10 images of themselves. After the image upload, users will be given a choice of two to five different art styles for their profile picture, including watercolour paintings, comic book art, and gaming-style avatars. Gamers can expect to find at least one avatar that resembles a Fortnite character.

Once the AI generates the set of images, users can download one, several, or all of them. Additionally, they can share one in a TikTok story. The feature will be accessible once a day, and TikTok will delete users' images from its server after 30 days.
