Ever since it was established TikTok has been quite problematic with many things going on. There has been some bans for the platform, especially recently. According to Reuters, TikTok is now prohibited on any device managed by the US House of Representatives. According to reports, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the House sent an email to all lawmakers and staff advising them to remove the app from their devices because it poses a "high risk due to a number of security issues." The social networking app would be removed from all phones that were found to have it installed, and any further downloads would be prohibited.

This is just the latest step in a series of actions taken by the US government to prevent the app from running on any devices it owns. The use of TikTok on executive branch devices was outlawed in a $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill that was approved by lawmakers last week. A representative for the Boss Regulatory Official let Reuters know that after its section, the CAO worked with the Panel on House Organization to carry out a comparable strategy for the House.

After Senator Josh Hawley (R-Missouri) introduced the No TikTok on Government Devices Act, the Senate unanimously approved it. According to Reuters, the app's installation and use on staff devices that they own or manage had also been outlawed or at least partially outlawed in 19 states.
