WhatsApp finally begins testing the long-anticipated feature

As one of the most significant names in the social media realm, WhatsApp started testing the feature that has been rumored for a while.

WhatsApp is innovating once again, this time by addressing a long-standing user request: the ability to toggle between multiple accounts on a single device. Previously, individuals with more than one account were compelled to either utilize unique app clones, an option restricted to a few Android models, or to have multiple devices. This forthcoming feature will streamline the process, allowing users to transition between accounts without these earlier complications.

This new feature was initially identified in specific beta versions of WhatsApp for Android. If users are operating on these versions, they can check their app’s settings. If eligible, an option will appear allowing them to add an additional account using their phone number and password.

Changing between accounts is made simple. By tapping an icon, users can choose their preferred account, each retaining its separate chats, notifications, and settings. Everything happens seamlessly on one device, making multitasking more efficient for those with various accounts.

As of now, this multi-account capability is in the beta-testing phase and exclusively available for Android. Despite the influx of features recently added to WhatsApp, the company remains committed to enhancing its platform continually.
