Business Insider published a report indicating that Musk is continuing his efforts towards an AI project at Twitter. The report cites two unidentified sources who are familiar with the company and state that the CEO of Twitter has recently acquired nearly 10,000 graphics processing units (GPUs) for use on the platform.

The use of GPUs in large-scale AI models is common due to the significant computational power needed by this technology. This aligns with Musk's recent tweet on March 18, in which he stated that AI would be utilized by Twitter to "detect & highlight manipulation of public opinion" on the platform.

According to anonymous sources, the AI project at Twitter is still in its early stages, but the significant purchase of GPUs indicates that Musk is determined to move forward with it.

One of the sources revealed that the project involves a large language model, but the exact role of generative AI on the platform is still uncertain.
