Tinder has announced that they add video selfies for verification now. By allowing users to take video selfies, Tinder is improving its photo verification system to better demonstrate who they are. Additionally, the website will compare your video selfie to the photos in your profile. By doing so the application aims to eliminate scammers and better the security.

In order to carry out this verification, all you need to do is take a video of yourself using the front camera of your smartphone and upload it to the app. By simple steps you can prove you are a real person and you can continue using the application.

You will also be added to Tinder's new "Photo Verified Cuties" club if you take a video selfie. Through their Message Settings, you can choose to only see recommendations from other photo verified members. Before allowing a match to send a message, you can also request verification. The company wrote that Tinder will soon ask you to re-verify with a video selfie "in the coming months" if you currently have the verification check mark.
