Lenovo's budget-friendly tablet model is spreading worldwide

In late 2022, Lenovo unveiled its budget-friendly tablet model, the Tab M9, which has since attracted significant attention. The tech giant has now set its sights on the Indian market and recently disclosed the tablet's anticipated release date.

Stylishly designed, the Tab M9 features a dual-tone color scheme on its back, along with Lenovo's distinctive branding on the right side and a solitary camera situated on the top left corner. The slim device, measuring a mere 7.99mm in thickness and weighing approximately 344 grams, integrates a metal back panel that lends the Tab M9 an air of luxury. In contrast, the front of the device showcases a tall 9-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1,340 x 800 pixels.

Despite a peak brightness of 400 nits provided by the display, the Tab M9 also comes with relatively large bezels encircling the screen. Internally, the tablet is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, complemented by up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. In terms of cameras, it sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, while a 2-megapixel camera graces the front. To keep up with user demands, Lenovo has incorporated a sizeable 5,100mAh battery pack, albeit with standard 10W charging support.

Other noteworthy features of the Tab M9 include a microSD card slot for memory expansion, Bluetooth 5.1 support, Face unlock, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Lenovo is poised to launch the Tab M9 in India on June 1, with a starting price of 12,999 INR. The device, offered in a unique Frost Blue color, will be available in a 3GB+32GB configuration as well as LTE-enabled and Wi-Fi-only options for two distinct storage configurations. Prospective buyers can expect to find the Tab M9 on sale on Amazon and Flipkart.
