Apple enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new iPad, and it seems their patience will soon be rewarded. The tech giant is reportedly gearing up to introduce the iPad Mini 7 either later this year or early next year. However, not all updates about the new device are exciting. Notably, a recent tip suggests the upcoming iPad Mini might miss out on the much-anticipated 120Hz ProMotion display feature.

The well-known tipster @Tech_Reve mentioned that the iPad Mini 7 will forgo the 120Hz display, potentially only upgrading its A-series processor. There had been ample chatter about Apple incorporating ProMotion technology in its upcoming iPad Mini, especially after the so-called “jelly scrolling” issue reported by many users on the iPad Mini 6. This defect was characterized by text or images on one side of the screen appearing tilted downwards.

Given the information available, it's expected that the new iPad Mini might not undergo massive changes in terms of specifications. The current iPad Mini 6, released in 2021, boasts an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display and is fueled by the A15 Bionic chip, identical to the iPhone 13's processor. The speculation now suggests that Apple might use the A16 Bionic chip for the iPad Mini 7.

While some minor improvements in the iPad Mini 7's specifications are expected, such as enhanced front and rear cameras and possibly new features like the Photonic Engine, these remain speculative at this point. As the launch nears, more concrete details are bound to emerge.
