Lenovo has unveiled its new range of laptops ideal for business and everyday use, equipped with advanced Intel Core Ultra processors.

Following Intel's unveiling of the Core Ultra series CPUs, Lenovo has stepped up to showcase its latest offerings, including the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 12th Gen, ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 9th Gen, and the IdeaPad Pro 5i, all of which are powered by these new processors.

Both the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 12th Gen and the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 9th Gen are equipped with the latest Intel Core Ultra processors, ensuring high performance. There are differences in their memory configurations, with the X1 Carbon supporting up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory and the X1 2-in-1 accommodating up to 32GB of LPDDR4X memory. Storage-wise, both models offer up to 2TB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage. The X1 Carbon distinguishes itself with Intel Arc Graphics, while the X1 2-in-1 comes with Intel Iris Xe graphics.

In terms of display, both laptops feature a 14-inch narrow bezel screen. The X1 Carbon boasts a 2.8K OLED touch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision HDR, and 400 nits of brightness. The X1 2-in-1, on the other hand, offers a 1920x1200 IPS touch display with 300 nits of brightness.

For audio, both laptops are equipped with Dolby Atmos audio and Dolby Voice enhancement. They also include an up to 8MP MIPI computer vision camera with a privacy shutter. The tactile keyboard, a larger TrackPad, and a glass Haptic TouchPad are standard features on both models.

Battery life varies between the two, with the X1 Carbon featuring a 57Wh battery and the X1 2-in-1 housing a 50Wh battery. Security is a priority, as both laptops come with a dTPM 2.0 chip and a fingerprint reader, and the X1 2-in-1 adds a camera privacy shutter for added security.

Connectivity options include 2x USB-C (Thunderbolt 4) ports, 2x USB-A (5Gbps) ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The X1 Carbon offers Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 options, while the X1 2-in-1 is equipped with Wi-Fi 6 and additional connectivity features like 5G and 4G LTE support, eSIM, and Nano SIM support.

The X1 Carbon is designed to be lighter and thinner than the X1 2-in-1, with the former starting at 2.42 lbs and 14.96mm thick, and the latter starting at 2.92 lbs and 15.49mm thick.
