Following their global introduction in July, Sony has now brought their flagship WF-1000XM5 TWS earbuds to India. These earbuds represent a marked improvement from the WF-1000XM4, providing users with a more enriched auditory experience.

A key highlight of the new model is its superior noise cancellation feature. This is achieved through the synergy of Sony’s Integrated Processor V2 and HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN2e. These mechanisms collaborate to ensure external noises don't interfere with the audio quality. Each earbud is equipped with three built-in microphones which specifically target and eliminate low-frequency disturbances.

The sound quality of the WF-1000XM5 has also been notably enhanced. Sony's Dynamic Driver X guarantees broader frequencies, intensifying bass, and sharpening vocals. Additionally, these earbuds support High-Resolution Audio Wireless through LDAC and further benefit from real-time music refinement via DSEE Extreme.

But the features aren't confined to just audio quality. The earbuds are designed to include head-tracking technology for a more immersive experience, AI-driven noise reduction for crisp call clarity, and they also boast a compact, ergonomic build. It's worth noting that they are 25% more compact and 20% lighter than their forerunner.

User experience is further enriched with features such as Adaptive Sound Control, Speak-to-Chat, the ability to connect to two devices simultaneously, voice assistant compatibility, and a battery life extending up to 8 hours. A brisk 3-minute charge can even yield up to an hour of listening time.

Reflecting a commitment to environmental consciousness, Sony has incorporated recycled plastic components and adopted eco-friendly packaging for the WF-1000XM5. Moreover, the earbuds are designed with an IPX4 water resistance grade and are compatible with Qi wireless charging.

The Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds are priced at Rs. 24,990 (300$) and come in both Black and Platinum Silver hues. For those who act promptly, a pre-booking window from September 27th to October 15th offers the earbuds at a discounted rate of Rs. 21,990 (265$), inclusive of a Rs. 3,000 cashback. To sweeten the deal, early bird customers will also receive a complimentary SRS-XB100 portable speaker valued at Rs. 4,990 (60$).
