At a recent event in China, Vivo announced the launch of its latest flagship smartphone series, the X100, alongside a new smartwatch. The X100 series, which includes both standard and pro models, is the successor to the X90 series and comes with several noteworthy upgrades.

Both the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro share a similar design language, featuring a slim profile and a distinctive circular camera module on the back. Each phone sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with curved edges. The display offers a 1.5K resolution, an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. For security, both models are equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner and boast an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

The camera setup on both the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro includes a triple rear camera configuration. This setup features a 50MP OIS-enabled main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP (50MP on the Pro model) telephoto lens with 3x optical and 100x digital zoom capabilities. The super telephoto camera employs a ZEISS-certified Vario-APO-Sonar lens. For selfie enthusiasts, there's a 32MP front camera. Vivo has incorporated its proprietary V3 imaging chip in these models to enhance photography capabilities and support 4K video recording.

Powering the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 SoC. These models are the first to feature LPDDR5T RAM technology, available in the top-end variant, offering up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4 storage. The standard model comes with a 5,000mAh battery, while the Pro model boasts a slightly larger 5,400mAh battery. Both models support fast wired charging, with the standard model supporting up to 120W and the Pro model up to 100W. Additionally, the X100 Pro offers 50W wireless charging. The devices run on OriginOS 4 based on Android 14.

In terms of connectivity, the Vivo X100 series includes a USB-C Gen 3.2 port, WiFi-7, 5G, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.3.

The Vivo X100 and X100 Pro are available in multiple color options: Star Trail Blue, Sunset Orange, White Moonlight, and Cheyne Black. Pricing for the Vivo X100 starts at CNY 3,999 ($550) for the 12GB + 256GB variant and goes up to CNY 5,099 ($699) for the 16GB + 1TB variant with LPDDR5T RAM technology. The Vivo X100 Pro is priced starting at CNY 4,999 ($700) for the base model and reaches up to CNY 5,999 ($822) for the top-end configuration.
