At a recent launch event in China, Vivo introduced its new premium-mid-range lineup, the Vivo S18 series. The series includes the Vivo S18 and S18 Pro, along with the Vivo S18e, an affordable yet feature-rich alternative to its premium counterparts.

The Vivo S18e stands out with its unique design language, distinguishing itself from the S18 and S18 Pro. It features a circular camera module, a flat body, and flat sides, creating a distinct aesthetic. The device boasts a slim profile, measuring just 7.69mm in thickness and weighing around 193 grams. It's equipped with IP54 water and dust resistance, enhancing its durability.

Under the hood, the Vivo S18e is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor, supporting 5G connectivity. It offers a single memory configuration with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and two storage options: 256GB and 512GB, both utilizing UFS 2.2 technology.

The device runs on Android 14-based OriginOS 4, promising a user-friendly interface. A notable feature is its 4800mAh battery, complemented by an 80W flash charging capability. For connectivity, it includes a Type-C interface for both charging and headphone connections.

The Vivo S18e's display is a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, offering a resolution of 2400×1080. This screen provides vibrant visuals, further enhanced by a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1800 nits. For photography, the device is equipped with a 16MP front camera and a rear camera setup featuring an OIS-enabled 50MP main lens and a 2MP blur lens.

Additional features of the Vivo S18e include NFC support for wireless transactions and multiple unlocking methods like facial recognition and in-screen fingerprints.

As for pricing and availability, the Vivo S18e comes in three colors: Starry Night Black, Xuaguang Purple, and Cloud Shabai. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at 2,099 yuan ($296), while the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant costs 2,299 yuan ($325). The smartphone will be available for purchase starting January 13, 2024, alongside the Vivo S18 Pro.
