NASA creates a panel on UFO investigations

Space is always one of the subjects that people are most curious about. The idea that we are not alone in the galaxy is one of the most curious subjects of scientists. In this context, NASA has now determined a team to focus on UFO studies. NASA made the announcement in June that it would convene a panel to investigate "unidentified aerial phenomena" (UAP), also known as UFOs. However, the agency stated that it does not believe that UAPs are "extraterrestrial in origin.

nasa creates a panel on UFO studies"The 16-member panel, which will concentrate on "unclassified sightings and other data collected from civilian government and commercial sectors," has now been unveiled by the space agency.
David Spergel, the former head of astrophysics at Prince University, is in charge of the panel. Anamaria Berea, a research associate at the SETI (Search for Intelligence Life) Institute in Mountainview, California, is one of the other members;Scott Kelly, a former NASA astronaut and test pilot,as well as a variety of scientists, including oceanographers, astrophysicists, and journalists.

What makes this panel distinct from a Pentagon team that is looking into UAPs reported by military pilots and looked into by US officials in charge of intelligence and defense. After years of conducting these investigations behind closed doors, the US government is now effectively operating two tracks of investigations into UFOs. Details about the scope of the studies are not yet clearly available.
