MICHIGAN, US (TechtUSA) - As it's known, ChatGPT can be integrated into vehicles that support voice assistants and natural language processing. Likewise, Apple has integrated ChatGPT tech via two new apps called MacGPT and watchGPT which have been created specifically for Apple users to access the functions of ChatGPT. These applications enable Apple users to utilize the features of ChatGPT on their Mac computers and Apple Watches, respectively.

Now it seems that an executive from General Motors has told Reuters that the company is "exploring" potential applications for ChatGPT as part of its larger partnership with Microsoft.

In an interview, Scott Miller GM Vice President of Software Defined Vehicle and Operating System at General Motors, expressed that ChatGPT is expected to be integrated into various aspects of the company's operations.

According to Scott Miller, the ChatGPT chatbot could be utilized to provide users with information on how to use various vehicle features, which are typically found in an owner's manual. Additionally, the chatbot may be used to program functions like garage door codes and integrate schedules from a calendar.

“This shift is not just about one single capability like the evolution of voice commands, but instead means that customers can expect their future vehicles to be far more capable and fresh overall when it comes to emerging technologies,” a spokesperson from GM stated on Friday.

The initial report came from the website Semafor, which disclosed that General Motors was exploring a virtual personal assistant utilizing the AI models that power ChatGPT.
