Microsoft's Activision acquisition reveals plan to replace Call of Duty Mobile with Warzone Mobile

According to documents submitted to the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) as part of Microsoft's acquisition of Activision, it has been stated that Call of Duty: Mobile will eventually be "phased out" over time.

Reported by CharlieINTEL that Call of Duty: Mobile will be replaced by Call of Duty: Warzone. Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale game that was first released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows in March 2020. Activision had previously confirmed that the game would be released for smartphones, which may explain its eventual replacement of Call of Duty: Mobile.

Moreover, upcoming Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile game has been confirmed to be released later this year, as stated in the submitted documents. It is being developed by a group of developers including Digital Legends Entertainment, Beenox, Activision Shanghai Studio, Solid State Studios, and Demonware. This is in contrast to Call of Duty: Mobile, which was developed by TiMi Studio Group based in China.
