Honor's budget-friendly phone has been launched

Honor, known for its range of smartphones, has recently introduced a new mid-range 5G model, the Honor X50i+, in China. This launch comes just months after the company unveiled the Honor X50, which boasted a 120Hz LCD panel and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip. The X50i+, positioned as a higher-end model in the series, brings with it an array of impressive specifications.

The Honor X50i+ is equipped with a 6.7-inch OLED screen, offering an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The screen's 90Hz refresh rate, 3240Hz PWM dimming, and peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits make for a visually striking display. For capturing moments, the device features an 8-megapixel front camera and a unique rear camera island. This includes a 108-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, accompanied by an LED flash.

Under the hood, the X50i+ is powered by the Dimensity 6080 chipset and boasts 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM. Additionally, it offers 8 GB of virtual RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. The device runs on Magic OS, based on Android 13, and is supported by a 4,500mAh battery capable of 35W charging.

The X50i+ also incorporates a side-facing fingerprint sensor for enhanced security. With dimensions of 161.05 x 74.55 x 6.78mm and a weight of 166 grams, the phone is both sleek and user-friendly.

In terms of pricing, the Honor X50i+ is available in two configurations: 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM with 512 GB storage. These models are priced at 1,599 Yuan ($219) and 1,799 Yuan ($247), respectively. The phone comes in four color options: pink, blue, green, and black.

The Honor X50i+ is poised as a strong competitor in the mid-range market, particularly against models like the Oppo A2 5G. With its combination of advanced features and competitive pricing, the Honor X50i+ is set to make a significant impact in the 5G smartphone segment.
