The artificial intelligence maids featured in sci-fi movies may finally be coming true. A lot of work has been done on artificial intelligence in the past years. Robot maids, which may lead to a disaster scenario according to some, may take their place in the market this year. Han Jong-hee, CEO of Samsung, announced that they will launch the "robot maid" designed by the company's artificial intelligence experts by the end of 2023.

Han, who is also the vice president of the company, used the following statements at a press conference at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held on January 5-8 in Las Vegas, USA: We plan to launch the assistant robot, which we call EX1, this year. Samsung also has a 10-year-old digital camera, also called EX1.

The company has been giving positive signals about assistive robots for a while, but until now these products have been limited to robot vacuums. Although not much details are given about the new EX1, it is thought that the robot can wash dishes or laundry, serve food and perform many such services. Company officials say that they see service robots as "the driving force that will grow the company". The tech giant invested 59 billion won in a startup called Rainbow Robotics last week. Jay Y. Lee, CEO of Samsung Electronics, announced in a statement in 2021 that they plan to invest 240 trillion won in robotics over three years.
