Usually cold is associated with flu and sickness yet recent reports have suggested that in order to live and age healthy we might need cold weather. Scientists have found that cold air prolongs life by creating a series of effects at the cellular level. As technology continues to develop we understand more about human life and everything.
In previous reports scientist suggested that cold weather was good for health and now it is proven. Researchers from the University of Cologne in Germany conducted experiments on worms to determine how cold affects health. Reports suggest that cold plays a role in a process in which damaged proteins are removed from cells.
Cold weather is the key for healthy life
Many neurodegenerative diseases, especially those that can occur in later life, including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, are linked to the accumulation of harmful proteins in the body. Therefore, discovering how temperature affects proteins is an important step towards finding ways to slow these diseases. Nature might actually really give us what we need in order to stay healthy and live long but maybe we do not always understand or rely on medicine too much.
